EQC Manager (Expediting & Quality Control) No of Positions - 2

• Qualification : BE mechanical from reputed Universities
  
  Experience : 15-17 years experience
  4 - 5 years’ experience in fabrication of industrial equipment for Steel Plants, Energy 
  Production Plants and generically Heavy Industry, as manufacturing engineer, planner 
  and/or quality controller 
  5 - 8 years as Expediter & Quality Controller in engineering companies involved in 
  design and manufacturing of equipment for Reheating Furnaces (requested) and Strip 
  processing Lines (preferable). Better if the company had not its own workshop. 
  5 years as Manager of EQC department in similar industry 
  Experience in Design Department of similar companies is a plus
  
  

•  Job Role
  
  - Lead a small group of 1 or 2 EQC engineers to complete assigned manufacturing in stipulated time and with prescript quality
  - Cooperate and interact with other departments managers and personnel and site supervisors
  - Manage the NCR reports
  - Evaluate the vendors capabilities in terms of quality and manufacturing time performance and potential workload
  - Keep direct contacts with vendors representatives
  
  EQC Job Handling
  1. Quality documents preparation to be attached to vendors purchase orders, including QAP and technical specifications
  2. KOM organization and reporting
  3. Handling drawings delivery to vendors including drawings revisions management between vendors and engineering department
  4. Expediting visits organization for each team member
  5. Coordination with vendors as main interface of the company through all the other internal departments
  6. Monitor materials procurement of vendors and give technical clearance for payments
  7. Provide detailed manufacturing schedule by each vendors, strictly monitoring & follow up
  8. Solve any issue that can cause delay by each vendor
  9. Monitor proper resources and tools allocation by each vendor and punctually inform in case of lack of each kind of personnel by each vendor
  10. Submit periodically expediting and quality reports exhaustive of detailed indications, photos, updated schedules and raw materials’ reports
  11. Prepare summary situation of progress by each vendors for projects’ meetings
  12. Issue NCR and manage the improvements to be taken
  13. Manage punctual reports and all quality documents storage in company server and monitor completeness
  14. Solve any technical problem that could come by each vendor punctually and eventually coordinating with engineering department
  15. Monitor scope of work changes by each vendor, report and cooperate with other department for orders’ amendments
  16. Coordinate with other departments for punctual Bought Outs (BO) delivery to each vendors, in order to keep the final delivery dates
  17. Coordinate with other departments to collect BO delivery documentation by each vendors to allow BO suppliers payments
  18. Make OPI of BO by each vendor
  19. Coordinate with other departments for punctual On Board materials (POE) delivery to eachvendors, in order to keep the final delivery dates (in case of Strip Equipment)
  20. Monitor proper time to have packing companies surveys, in order to keep the final delivery date
  21. Release checked packing Lists to Project Department
  22. Interact with customers and third parties inspectors, organize inspections of equipment and check of relevant documentation
  23. Prepare final documentation (Inspection Book) before delivery by each vendor, including photos of final equipment before and after packing and correctly store in company server, check lists
  24. Give dispatch clearance and instructions for equipment by each vendors i(n case of transfer to warehouse first, if not made by Project Department)
  25. Coordinate with other company department for delivery arrangements, loading plans and final packing lists preparations 
  
  
   REQUIRED  SKILLS 
  
  Skills
  - Knowledge of MS office, Project planning
  - Certified Welding Inspector
  - ASNT Level II in Liquid Penetrate Examination (LPT), Radiography  Examination (RT), 
  - Ultrasonic Examination (RT), Magnetic Particle Examination (MPT)

  -Quality Assurance
  - Personnel Planning
  - Quality Control of raw materials, casting, forging, cutting, welding, sand blasting, painting,fabrication, machining, assembly of components and equipment for reheating furnaces and stripprocessing lines
  - Expediting of same components and equipment
  - Knowledge of manufacturing sequences (cutting, welding, sheet forming, drilling, machining,assembling, etc.) and main lead time of components and equipment of reheating furnaces andstrip processing lines
  - WPS, PQR and WPQ preparation & welders qualification activity as per ASME sec. IX.
  - Review of NDT (UT, MPT, DP) reports
  - Review of test certificates of welding consumables
  - Review / verification of welders performance qualification
  - Review of raw materials traceability documents
  - Witness of dimensional checks
  - Witness of dimensional check of weld fit up
  - Witness of baking and holding temperature of consumables, preheating temperature of base material, inter pass temperature during welding
  - Monitoring of welding parameters
  - Visual inspection of final welding
  - Witness of NDT (UT, MPT, DP)
  - Witness of destructive testing of test coupon
  - Witness of heat treatments
  - Review of Instruments & machines calibration
  - C.N.C. Programming background knowledge is a plus
  - Review of painting specification and control paints batch reports
  - Review of piping specification and control of piping certificates
  - Review of packing specification

  - Quality Audit
